Principle Of Aluminum Extruded Tube
Dec 17, 2024
The principle of aluminum extrusion tube is to place the aluminum billet in the mold cavity or extrusion barrel and use strong pressure to make it produce directional plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required cross-sectional shape, size and specific mechanical properties of the parts or semi-finished products.
The specific process is as follows:
- Heating and extrusion : After the aluminum billet is heated to a certain temperature, it is placed in the extruder. Under the action of pressure, the aluminum billet is forced to be extruded from the die hole of the extrusion die to form the required tube or hollow profile .
- Re-welding of metal flow : During the extrusion process, the aluminum ingot will be divided into several metal flows. These metal flows enter the welding chamber through the diversion hole and are re-welded under high temperature, high pressure and high vacuum environment. Finally, the metal flow flows out through the gap between the die core and the die hole to form a tube or hollow profile that meets the size and performance requirements .
- Process flow of aluminum extrusion tube
The process flow of aluminum extrusion tube includes the following main steps:
- Raw material preparation : The aluminum ingot is melted and cast into aluminum rods, and necessary preheating treatment is performed.
- Heating: The aluminum rod is heated to a certain temperature. The heating temperature usually needs to be controlled to avoid overheating or underheating.
- Extrusion: The heated aluminum rod is placed in the extruder and extruded into the required pipe or profile through the die.
- Cooling: The extruded aluminum is placed in the cooling equipment for cooling to ensure its shape stability.
- Subsequent processing: Including trimming, cutting and surface treatment, etc., to ensure the quality and appearance of the product.
