Tips For Aluminum Extruded Tubes
Dec 18, 2024

The skills of aluminum extrusion tube mainly include the following aspects
Temperature control: The temperature of the aluminum rod should be kept between 400-540°C, and the optimal temperature is 470-500°C. The mold temperature should be kept between 550-575°C, and the outlet temperature should be at least above 500-530°C, but it must not exceed the solid solution phase line temperature (620°C).
Lubrication treatment: Before extrusion, the mold should be preheated to 450-500°C, and lubricant should be applied to the mold and slider to prevent adhesion. In addition, a layer of anchor remover should be applied to the surface of the inner hole of the extrusion die to protect the mold.
Operation steps:
- Prepare the mold and billet: Preheat the mold to 450-500°C, and preheat the aluminum billet to 400-500°C.
- Loading billet: Load the preheated aluminum billet into the extruder and apply lubricant to prevent adhesion.
- Extrusion process: Start the extruder and extrude the aluminum through the die. During the extrusion process, it is necessary to keep the center and stable force to ensure that the aluminum is extruded evenly.
- Cooling and cutting: The extruded aluminum needs to be cooled to keep the shape stable, and then cut to the predetermined length as needed.
- Equipment selection and maintenance: It is very important to choose a suitable extruder and die. Modern extrusion molding technology has been widely used in the research and production of aluminum and alloy aluminum profiles, including composite billet extrusion, lubrication extrusion, Conform continuous extrusion and other methods.
- Equipment maintenance and regular inspection are also the key to ensuring production efficiency and product quality.
